After a collision near Heather Hills Lane, Timothy Crowley’s vehicle was violently compromised and quickly became engulfed in flames. Where most people might freeze, a group of extraordinary bystanders chose to act. They didn’t wait for fire crews, instead rushing toward the burning car to pull Crowley from the wreckage. Their heroic, life-threatening actions bought him precious time, but sadly, it was not enough. Crowley was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he died shortly after. The fact that he was saved from the flames only to be lost to his injuries adds a profound, cruel layer of heartbreak to this already devastating event.
