Moreno Valley, CA — What started as an ordinary Wednesday evening turned into a scene of flashing lights and sirens when a violent traffic crash sent two people to the hospital. At approximately 8:48 p.m., on westbound State Route 60 near Moreno Beach Drive, a black Jeep violently veered off course and collided with a semi-truck parked along the right shoulder.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the Jeep was swerving moments before impact. The force of the crash left both the driver and passenger injured inside the crumpled SUV. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters rushed to the scene, quickly working to assist the victims trapped in the wreckage.
The passenger, whose identity has not yet been released, suffered a severe head injury and was seen drifting in and out of consciousness at the scene. The driver, disoriented and in visible pain, reported injuries to both the leg and neck. Both were transported to Riverside University Health System for immediate medical care.
