The community of Ames, Iowa, is mourning the loss of Chelsea Ann Jorgensen, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was just 32 years old. Chelsea’s passing leaves behind a deep sense of sadness among family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her, yet her memory will forever remain a source of light and inspiration.

Chelsea was a vibrant and compassionate woman whose presence brightened every room she entered. Known for her warm heart, infectious smile, and generous spirit, she had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Whether she was lending a listening ear, offering words of encouragement, or helping someone in need, Chelsea did so with genuine kindness and sincerity. Her gentle soul and unwavering positivity made a lasting impact on those around her.

A proud resident of Ames, Chelsea had built a life filled with meaningful connections and cherished moments. She valued faith, family, and friendship deeply, always prioritizing the people she loved most.

Her faith was an important part of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her to live each day with gratitude and compassion. She was an active member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, where she found strength, comfort, and community.

To honor Chelsea’s life and faith, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 2900 Hoover Avenue in Ames, with Father Don Czapla officiating.

Prior to the Mass, a visitation will take place at the church from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a shared meal for family and friends to come together in reflection and fellowship.

Chelsea will be laid to rest at Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, Iowa, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where her family and loved ones will gather to say their final goodbyes.

While her time on earth was far too short, Chelsea’s legacy will live on through the love she shared, the kindness she showed, and the lives she touched. Her friends and family will forever cherish the beautiful memories they made with her — the laughter, the late-night talks, the quiet moments of comfort, and the endless ways she made life brighter.
