The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at State Road 22 near County Road 400 East, an active construction zone. According to Indiana State Police, Aaron was on duty, directing traffic, when a school bus operated by the Northwestern School Corporation was struck by a Dodge pickup truck. The impact caused the bus to veer off course and fatally strike Aaron.
Despite the efforts of first responders from both Indiana State Police and the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron was pronounced dead at the scene. His sudden loss has left a community in mourning and a family shattered.
